Carolina League

FRAWLEY STADIUM
WILMINGTON, DELAWARE
WILMINGTON BLUE ROCKS
FIRST USRT VISIT: JULY, 2009

Opened in 1993, this ballpark hugs the outskirts of downtown, located next
to an arts center, retail outlets and an arts center, all of which is part of a
mixed use riverfront development district. The Blue Rocks'  venue is pretty
much the template of other ballparks in this league, with one home plate
entrance, ramps and stairs to the single concourse, and picnic decks down
the baselines.

HARRY GROVE STADIUM
FREDERICK, MARYLAND
FREDERICK KEYS
FIRST USRT VISIT: AUGUST, 2010

Right across the street from this ballpark lies a huge cemetery, whose most
notable resident is Francis Scott Key, the author of "The Star Spangled
Banner". But good luck trying to breach the tall fence to actually see the
marker and pay your respects. The Keys play in one ordinary but somewhat
spruced up venue, but the food selection is incredible, and they sell beer by
the pitcher with discounts for refills. Bottoms up!

FIVE COUNTY STADIUM
ZEBULON, NORTH CAROLINA
CAROLINA MUDCATS
FIRST USRT VISIT: MAY, 2016

This concrete monstrosity opened in 1991, kind of in the middle of nowhere
and easily accessible to five different counties, this the stadium name.
There is a drop-off between the first row of the lower seating bowl to the field
which makes the entire stadium look clunky, and protective netting extends
far down the baselines. The club restaurant on the first base side is very
opulent.

LEWISBURG FIELD
SALEM, VIRGINIA
SALEM RED SOX
FIRST USRT VISIT: JUNE, 2013

Not much of a neighborhood here. The complex includes a football field,
expo hall and fairgrounds, but the outfield view of the mountains is pretty
neat, and the stadium also houses a replica Fenway Park mini field outside
the concourse down the third base line, a perfect place for the kids and for
taking some photos.

BB&T BALLPARK
WINSTON SALEM, NORTH CAROLINA
WINSTON SALEM DASH
FIRST USRT VISIT: JUNE 201
7

A city with a rich baseball history going back to 1905, BB&T Ballpark
replaced the historic and old Ernie Shore Field. The stadium has a nice
outfield view of the Winston Salem skyline, corporate home to many of the
nation's largest tobacco producers

TICKETRETURN.COM FIELD
MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA
MYRTLE BEACH PELICANS
FIRST USRT VISIT: JUNE 2017

With Myrtle Beach being a popular beach vacation destination, the Myrtle
Beach Pelicans market themselves not only to local folks but also cater to
visiting tourists who want to make a baseball game a part of their vacation
experience. The ballpark is less than a mile inland from the Ocean
Boulevard hotels and resorts.
